Northern Rockies Arts Council is excited to learn that local artist Curtis Dickie has been chosen to create four totem poles for the Hudson’s Hope community.
Two of the four totems, Fire and Mother Earth are underway already. Local photographer Tiffany Weatherston of Blom photography will trace the remaining two poles, Water and Wind in a visual journey from beginning to end, capturing the artistic process and creation. The finished totem poles will be installed at the Hudson’s Hope school.
The Totem carving project is sponsored by BC Hydro and managed by Valerie Paice on behalf of Metis Nation B.C.
